Diagnostics of Oil and Gas Production Equipment

Activity area:
The department currently conducts complex research by ultrasound and contactless magnetometric diagnostics at offshore and onshore facilities on their balance sheets on the basis of contracts with SOCAR's structural units, as well as other organizations and prepares opinions and proposals on the current technical condition and serviceability of the facilities.

- diagnostics of pier near platforms;
- diagnostics of sea piers;
- contact and non-contact magnetometric diagnostics of surface and subsurface pipelines;
- diagnostics of technological pipelines;
- diagnostics of pipelines and communications at the compressor station;
- in pressure vessels
- technical inspection and diagnostics of offshore platforms and facilities for various purposes.
The work that the department can do includes:
- diagnostics of reinforced concrete structures;
- ultrasonic welding examination with the help of ultrasonic defectoscope to detect deep defects in welded joints.
- inspection with magnetic powder;
- inspection with penetrant paint, etc.

- Technical diagnostic works are carried out annually on the fixed offshore platforms, pier near platforms, overhead technological pipelines and separators of “28 May”, “Neft Dashlari”, “Absheronneft” and N.Narimanov OGPU.
- Non-contact diagnostic inspection of “Garadagh-Digah” main gas pipeline with diameter Æ720 mm on the balance of Absheron MGPA of “Gas Export” Department-2019.
- Instrumental-diagnostic inspection of Boyuk-Shor-Sumgayit Dsh-700, Dubandi-Boyuk-Shor Dsh-500/700, Surakhan-Boyuk-Shor and Shirvan-Baku Dsh-500 main oil pipelines of the Oil Pipelines Department - 2019.
- Carrying out technical diagnostic works on high and low pressure gas lines located in the Gas Compressor area of OGPD named after N.Narimanov - 2018.
- Instrumental-diagnostic inspection of RVS-5000 and RVS-2000 oil tanks at Surakhani NNS of Absheron PU of “Oil Pipelines” Department - 2018.
- Vibration inspection in the machine-working area of the site of the Compressor Station No. 2 located in the “Oil Rocks” area of “28 May” OGPD - 2018
